SCR systems are applied to industrial process exhausts and are used to convert oxides of nitrogen (NOx) emissions into harmless nitrogen and water.

 

Selective catalytic reduction (SCR) systems

SCR, or DENOX as it is also referred to, is applied to industrial process exhausts, and is used to convert nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions into harmless nitrogen and water. This is achieved by optimally distributing ammonia over a catalyst bed. SCR is internationally recognised as the best available technology (BAT) to reduce NOx emissions. Peerless has systems in operation achieving reductions in NOx greater than 95%.

Peerless SCR systems have been supplied to various applications including gas turbines, HRSGs, packaged boilers, IC engines, fired heaters, reformers, incinerators and other process applications.

Complete emission abatement systems

Peerless specialise in the design, engineering and supply of complete emission abatement systems, which include:

* SCR catalyst
* CO catalyst
* Reagent storage and handling equipment
* Reagent control, vaporisation and optimised distribution
* Integration control, including continuous emission monitoring system (CEMS)
* Ducting, catalyst housing, transitions, silencer and stack
* Tempering air equipment for cooling exhaust (if required or request)
* Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulation
* Installation (if required or requested)

The reduction of CO, particulate and sulphur compounds can also be incorporated in complete emission abatement systems designed and supplied by Peerless.
